Maybe you’re tired of the usual polka dots and want to try something new?

You can use masking tape or a patch to paint them!

Margučiai will not only look unusual, but the process itself will be very neat and fun.

Patterned polka dots with adhesive tape

You will need:

  • adhesive tapes (a medical cloth patch, which I used, will also work well);
  • scissors;
  • brush;
  • food coloring;
  • boiled eggs.

Production process:

  1. After removing the eggs from the refrigerator, we keep them at room temperature for 5-10 minutes, then we put them in a heated pot and cook them for the desired time. I would advise you not to cook it too short, because when you want to remove the adhesive tape, the egg can easily crack.
  2. For eggs that have been removed from the pot and cooled, wrap the egg shell with adhesive tape according to your imagination.
  3. Where the “naked” shell of the egg is visible, we paint it with food coloring in the colors we want.
  4. Then, after the paint dries, we remove the adhesive tape, and voila, you have an unusual looking daisy!

PS, you can paint in this way on both white and colored eggs, it’s your choice.

Tip: Use different widths of cut strips to create more patterns.
