“April 28 the registration of voters to vote by mail ends for those voters whose ballots will be sent from the diplomatic missions of the Republic of Lithuania in Latvia, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Sakartvel, Norway, Azerbaijan, Greece and France,” states the press release issued by the CEC.

“Voters who live in states or territories where Lithuanian diplomatic missions in the above-mentioned states organize voting for Lithuanian citizens should hurry to register as well,” announces the election commission.

It is reminded that the Embassy of Lithuania in Hungary ensures that Lithuanian citizens in Hungary, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina can vote.

The Embassy of Lithuania in Norway is working to enable voters residing in Norway, Buve Sala, Svalbard and Jane Mayen to vote.

At that time, the diplomatic mission of Lithuania, the embassy in Azerbaijan, ensures the voting opportunities of Lithuanians in Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan.

The Embassy of Lithuania in Greece ensures that Lithuanian citizens in Greece, Cyprus and Albania can vote. And the Lithuanian embassy in France is working so that voters living in France and Morocco can vote.

The CEC reminds that the commission determines the end of registration to vote in consultation with Lithuanian diplomatic missions and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA). It depends on the speed of postal work in specific countries.

ELTA reminds that the election of the head of the country and the referendum on the preservation of citizenship will be held on May 12.
