Leafood, a vertical farm operating in Vilnius for almost a year, has doubled the amount of its produce. Valentinas Civinskas, the company’s general director, tells VŽ that, while its competitors in Europe are going bankrupt, “Leafood” continues to plan to grow and is gradually starting to explore the territory for a new farm.

The modern farm, which was opened in Savanorių Avenue last May, can boast of growing 750-800 kg of leafy vegetables per day. This is twice as much as at the beginning of the activity, when the company reached 300 kg. “The start was slower than planned…
