This weekend, you won’t want to spend time at home anymore, because there will be more than one fair in Klaipėda, the “City Luggage Market” will start a new season, and festive events and initiatives will make your weekend free time meaningful and interesting, and most importantly – all of this will be free!

SATURDAY, April 27
On a sunny Saturday morning, we invite you not to sit at the breakfast table, but to go to the “City Luggage Market”, which has become the center of attraction of the city of Klaipėda. This will be the first market of the new season, where from 10 a.m. in the morning, about 300 participants will gather, opening their trunks, full of items for the search for “second homes”.
Location: Klaipėda, “Švyturio Arena” parking lot (from Baltijo Ave. side).
After walking through what seems to be a kind of museum of “exhibits”, we invite you to discover the bustling seedling fair “Aš sodinu” nearby, where until 4 p.m. it will be possible not only to chat with horticultural experts, to listen to advice, but also to purchase fruit trees; fruit bushes; ornamental trees and shrubs; perennial and annual flowers.
All this will take place in the same parking lot of the “Lighthouse Arena”.
Those who want to give meaning to the time they spend with good deeds, will be invited by the campaign – We do it!
Everyone will gather at 10:00 a.m. In the middle of the summer show, where there will be a short warm-up – a mini-training and at 10:30 a.m. scavenger hunts and environmental management will be allowed.
Also at 10 a.m. At the Klaipėda cruise ship terminal, the sea yacht “Odisėja” will host a “Preparing the sails in the spring” workshop.
Saturday will also delight children with its entertainment.
Klaipėda handball club “Dragūnas” will invite you to celebrate your 25th birthday together. At the festive event from 11 a.m. a children’s handball tournament will be held, around 12:00 p.m. a delicious birthday cake, invites to participate in games, chat, take photos with current club players, mascot Dragus and celebrate the history and achievements of the club together.
There will also be plenty of entertainment for the family at the “Summer Camps and Employment Fair” in Klaipeda’s “Acropolis”.
On Saturday and Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., children will be able to get up close and personal with the most diverse and fun activities.

Additional entertainment and the opportunity to chat and hear about the ongoing activities will also await the participants at the stands.
SUNDAY, April 28
On this day, the ongoing “Summer Camps and Employment Fair” will still be waiting for the children.
And those who want a more active rest will be invited by an 18 km tour. Wilhelm Canal Equipment and History Walking Tour. The hike will be led by teachers Jonas Meldaikis and Vilhelmas Simėnas. Start of the hike at 11:00 a.m. from the BIG Maximos parking lot (Taikos pr. 141).
Also, on Sunday, entry to the Lithuanian Maritime Museum and its aquarium and aiva-museum M52 “Sūduvis”, Pranas Domšaitis Gallery and LNDM Clock Museum will cost nothing.
In the Pranas Damšaitis gallery on Sunday it will be possible to see:
- The latest exhibition of the sculptor Algirdas Bos “Pusiaukelė”. Here you will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the sculptures of A. Bos that have not yet been seen in the city and the traces of the creative process.
- The exhibition “From Dürer to Rembrandt”, in which – the most famous European masters – Dürer, Rembrandt, Luke van Leyden, etc. – graphic masterpieces from the National Museum of Bohdan and Varvara Chanenko.
- “Francisco Goya exhibition “Will she rise?” from the National Museum of Bohdan and Varvara Chanenko, which even exhibits two impressive cycles created by the master “Caprices” and “Terrors of War”.
- A permanent exhibition of the works of Pranas Domšaitis, in which colorful landscapes of distant countries, mystical religious plots, and intriguing portraits alternate as if in a kaleidoscope.
On Culture Sunday – you are also invited to visit the exhibits of the Maritime Museum, the museum ship M52 “Sūduvis”
