On the second St. On Easter day, the Kaunas wind instrument orchestra “Ėuolynas” invites you to go out into the city streets, smile and visit the Kaunas St. in the church of the Archangel Michael (Egulas), where at 2 p.m. a free concert “Easter Music. SALUT, LE PRINTEMPS!”.

“This year, the Kaunas Wind Orchestra “Ėuolynas” with chief conductor Giedris Vaznias prepared a special musical program for the citizens and guests. It will only spread the festive spirit, but it will become the final chord of the month of Francophonie” – the organizer of the annual Easter music concert – Vaidas Andriuškevičius, head of KĮ “Kaunos santaka”, opens the curtain of the program.

Popular jazz tunes will be played by the orchestra “Ažuolynas”, and it will be joined by the young soloists Marie-Alix Garreau and Ilan Abu Baker from the partner city of Kaunas – Grenoble (France).

The residents of the city have been enjoying the music of the Kaunas Wind Instrument Orchestra “Ėuolynas” for sixty-third years, but the guests of the upcoming concert will be staying in Lithuania for the first time.

Both young singers became friends with music in their childhood. Marie-Alix has been playing the piano since the age of six, Illan discovered the saxophone at the age of seven, in his teens he was attracted to break and rap, and then he started learning classical singing and decided to expand his horizons and improve professionally in this field.

Having liked playing the piano, Marie-Alix entered the Conservatory of Grenoble, and later she decided to supplement her studies with singing. It was at the Conservatory of Grenoble that her creative experiments began – creating miniature genres for piano and cello, creating music for a documentary film. Graduates of the Grenoble Conservatory, Marie-Alix Garreau and Ilan Abu Baker are constantly discovering themselves in new projects, singing in various ensembles and choirs.

“For the first time, we will fly to Lithuania to continue our musical adventures and we are very much looking forward to this concert,” said Marie-Alix Garreau.

“La Vie en rose” (Pink Life) sung by Edita Piaf, “Maria” from L. Bernstein’s musical “Westside Story”, compositions by G. Gershwin, “Strazdas” by L. Rimša and many other bright and hopeful works will sound under the church vaults .
