A high-ranking Ukrainian security source told AFP news agency on Friday that Russia has intensified attacks on railway infrastructure in order to disrupt the movement of military cargo, including Western aid.
According to the source, these attacks are aimed at destroying the railway network and paralyzing the delivery and movement of military cargo to the planned Russian offensive.

Russia itself has also demanded that missiles and artillery will be used to target railway infrastructure and trains transporting weapons that the West has provided to Ukraine.
Moscow’s Defense Ministry announced that its forces struck Western weapons and military equipment transported by rail in the Donetsk region on Thursday, as well as targeting rail facilities in the Kharkiv region.
