There is only one unanswered question left in the “Betsafe-LKL” playoff picture – how the 7th-8th places will be shared between Mažeikiai’s “M Basket-Delamode” and Jonava’s “CBet”. The first six will no longer move from their places in any scenario.
With the last chords remaining in the regular season, the schedule of the first two matches of the quarter-final stage has been revealed. The series will be played up to two wins.
Playoffs on May 12 (Sunday) will start with the winner of the regular season Kaunas “Žalgiris”, whose opponent will be revealed on May 9. (Thursday), when Mažeikiai “M Basket-Delamode” will face Kėdainiai “Nevēžiu-Optibet” and will try to secure the seventh place. If M Basket-Delamode wins, Jonava’s CBet would challenge the champions. If the Mažeiki team fails to win, they will become the rivals of Zalgiris.
On the same day, May 12, Utena’s “Uniclub Casino – Juventus” will host “7bet-Lietkabelis” from Panevėžys.
May 13 (Monday) even two series will start in the capital – Vilnius “Ryto” and Jonava or Mažeikiai teams and Vilnius “Wolves Twinsbet” and Klaipėda “Neptūno”
May 14-15 in all pairs, return matches will be played in the arenas of the teams that took a lower place in the regular season.
If the series requires third meetings, they would be played on May 17-18.
