“One time can be a mistake. But if we let it continue, it will sound like an invitation. Therefore, we have to change our position and posture and send a very clear message that if this happens again, the missiles or drones will be shot down,” commented G. Landsbergis to the American television Fox News.

“It’s not the first time. There have already been several cases of violation of Romanian airspace, and it is not the first time that Polish airspace has been violated,” said the head of Lithuanian diplomacy.

ELTA reminds that on Sunday, Poland accused Russia of violating its airspace in the morning. One cruise missile aimed at targets in Western Ukraine at 4:23 am. entered Polish airspace near Oserdów and stayed there for 39 seconds, the Polish armed forces said. The missile was monitored by military radars throughout the flight.

It is said that all necessary measures have been taken to ensure the safety of Polish airspace. Among other things, Polish and allied air forces were activated.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Warsaw summoned the Chargé d’Affaires of the Russian Embassy in Warsaw and handed him a note of protest. It calls on Russia to “explain the incident of violation of airspace and immediately cease such activities.”
