--

The Toyota Land Cruiser model has been fundamentally updated, providing even better off-road capabilities and driving comfort, while remaining true to its core concept and unmistakable DNA. Representatives of the manufacturer announced the prices of the new generation of the legendary SUV in our region, and the first ordered cars will reach their owners in the fall.

Returned to the origins

When creating the new model, Toyota engineers deliberately decided to return to the origins of the Land Cruiser and focus on its strongest features as a practical and affordable vehicle. Therefore, the SUV has preserved the strong classic frame structure, and the new generation models are produced on the Toyota GA-F platform. Its advantages are most apparent when driving off-road.

The new SUV frame is 50 percent. stronger, and the overall stiffness of the frame and body increased by 30 percent. These fundamental improvements make it possible to noticeably improve the car’s response to the driver’s actions and handling characteristics, as well as to increase driving comfort. The standard suspension performance has been improved with a special focus on increased wheel travel, one of the most important factors when driving off-road.

In the automotive world, the appearance of the new Land Cruiser has already received many positive reviews. When designing it, the designers cleverly combined tradition with modernity. The chunky and rugged silhouette marks the new SUV’s return to its roots. At the same time, it is very practical due to the principle applied by the manufacturers “first – function, then – form”.

It’s more comfortable off-road with shorter overhangs, while the sculpted corners, tapered underbody and other bodywork are designed to be easily replaceable if damaged.

Great attention is paid to good visibility

The designers of the car paid great attention to the good visibility of the driver, so his field of vision is expanded by the engine hood mounted below with raised corners and the horizontal instrument panel. The lower line of the side windows allowed the installation of larger glasses.

The interior design also emphasizes the strength and functionality of an authentic SUV. This is evidenced by details such as the horizontally arranged instrument panel and switches – they are easy to operate even when driving in difficult conditions. The manufacturers reveal that they even consulted professional rally drivers when designing the combination of rotary dials and buttons in the cabin.

More off-road capabilities

This is the first Land Cruiser to be equipped with an electric power steering system. It reduces the recoil that the driver may feel when driving on uneven surfaces, providing smoother steering, more precise feedback and easier maneuvering at any speed.

The new SUV gained even more off-road advantages thanks to the new detachable front stabilizer. This technology is first applied to a Toyota model, and it allows the driver to control the state of the front stabilizer using a switch on the dashboard. Such flexibility allows you to drive more confidently and comfortably on difficult surfaces and it is easier to control the car when driving on normal roads.

The new 2.8 liter turbodiesel engine installed in the next-generation SUV is designed to balance fuel consumption and performance. The engine develops an output of 150 kW/204 hp at 1,600-2,800 rpm. in amplitude reaches a maximum torque of 500 Nm. It is transmitted to the wheels through a new automatic eight-speed Direct Shift gearbox. The car can carry loads weighing up to 3,500 kg.

Four levels

The SUV is available in four trim levels: Active, Legend, Prestige and Executive. In Lithuania, the price of the new Land Cruiser starts at 59,500 euros.
