As an example, the newspaper presents the situation with 155 mm caliber NATO shells.
According to the Chairman of the Alliance Military Committee, Admiral Rob Bauer, 14 different types of such ammunition are being produced.
Some of the projectiles are not suitable for some artillery systems, others may be, but they are not recognized by the software of the launch systems, the military clarifies. Therefore, NATO specialists engaged in planning are trying to provide the Ukrainians with mutually compatible weapons and equipment. During joint training, Alliance members clarify and learn to resolve issues related to differences.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, who was in Kiev, said that he sees the consequences of unfulfilled promises to transfer weapons to Ukraine on the front.
