According to the case, the man was driving a car while intoxicated, when he was found to have a blood alcohol level of more than 1.51 per thousand.

He, in 2023 May 30 around 11:03 a.m., drove a Volkswagen Golf at the gas station while under the influence of alcohol, when the blood alcohol meter measured 2.95 percent. drunkenness

He lost the car in an instant

The defendant, questioned in court, fully admitted his guilt for committing the crime he was charged with and showed that on the day specified in the indictment, at around 11 a.m., a car was brought to him on the trawl.

He wanted to resell this car. He thought that he needed to fill the car with fuel, the gas station was nearby. He drove off, poured fuel and was stopped by a police crew.

That night he drank, used vodka and beer. He paid the tralist several hundred euros for the car. The remaining amount was to be given the next day. True, it also turned out that the man from Vilnius did not have the right to drive vehicles.

The man interviewed during the pre-trial investigation said that in 2023 May 29 during the day saw an ad for a V-generation green Volkswagen Golf for sale, which he wanted to buy in order to resell immediately.

He called the seller and arranged to bring the car with the trawl to his house. in 2023 May 30 in the morning, around 9 o’clock, he received a call from the Volkswagen Golf car dealer, who said that he would bring the car to him by noon.

On the same day, before calling the seller, he had a fight with his friend. He had a 1 liter bottle of vodka at home, which he drank alone. Around 9-10 am. he saw that the trawl arrived, brought the car.

He left the house, paid the seller money, drove the car away from the trawl. They did not sign any sales contract because the seller did not have time at that time, he said he would come the next day and sign the contract.

Since the seller who brought the car told him that there was no fuel in the car, after he left, he got into the car and drove to the gas station. When he arrived at the gas station, he filled up with fuel, got into the car and saw that police officers had arrived to check his sobriety.

During the first inspection, his GPA was determined to be 2.95. drunkenness, and he does not remember exactly the result of the second test. After that, the officers arrested him and brought him to custody. He does not have a driver’s license because it was revoked in 2016-2017, I don’t remember exactly.

Akyla is a gas station worker

The witness interviewed during the pre-trial investigation testified that she works at a gas station. in 2023 May 30 around 11 a.m. a man entered the premises of the gas station, who approached the cashier and asked her to sell him a pack of cigarettes, as well as to set up a diesel pump so that he could fill up with fuel for 6 euros.

She did all this and the man left the gas station. Almost immediately after he left, she noticed that there was no car at any of the fuel stations, so she wondered why the aforementioned man was not filling up the fuel, because the fuel he had paid for could have been filled in by another person who arrived.

While watching the video cameras, she began to look for the location of the aforementioned man and noticed that he was smoking a cigarette to her right after leaving the gas station. She was worried that someone would use his money to fill up the gas, so she watched until the man came to the gas station.

She thought that the man would pour fuel for 6 euros into the tank and not into the car. He did not notice that he had arrived at the gas station by car. While she was watching the fuel column, she saw that the mentioned man got into a green Volkswagen Golf car.

Next, she watched whether the man would approach the required (first) fuel column, which she had programmed to fill the mentioned amount of fuel. The man started the car and started driving it. It was very difficult for him, the car hardly moved from the place.

After a while, he drove to the second gas station, but he didn’t even know where his car’s fuel tank was. The man picked up the fuel pump, but immediately put it back. Then the man got back into the car and drove for about 2 minutes. tried to approach the first fuel column.

When she saw that the man was unable to do this, she began to suspect that the person might be drunk, so she called 112 and reported it to the General Assistance Center.

After about 5 min. police officers arrived at the scene, stopped the Volkswagen Golf car and checked the sobriety of the driver. While the husband she mentioned was shopping at the gas station, he did not raise her suspicions because she did not pay much attention to him.

However, his driving skills made her highly suspicious of drunkenness. All his actions are captured by the video cameras of the gas station.

Police officers confirmed that they arrested the drunk driver in the territory of the gas station. They noticed the aforementioned Volkswagen Golf leaving the gas station area.

After activating the special signals installed in the official car, the car was stopped immediately. The driver smelled strongly of alcohol. When communicating with the person, his speech was incoherent, his movements were uncoordinated.

When the person was asked if he had consumed alcohol recently, he explained that “he drank a lot.” He did not explain what exactly the person drank and how long ago. After the driver offered to test his sobriety with a breathalyzer, he agreed to do so.

11:30 a.m. at the first inspection, he was determined to have a 2.95 percentile. drunkenness, and at the second check at 11:46 a.m. even 3.48 prom was determined for him. drunkenness The driver also explained that he does not have a driver’s license.

Court sentence

The court decided to find Julių V. guilty and sentence him to 6 months of imprisonment.

He is also prohibited from using the right to drive road vehicles for 4 years, counting this term when the man will serve the sentence imposed on him by this court verdict or will be released on parole from the prison.

It was also decided to recover from him an amount corresponding to the value of the car – 1,330 euros to the state budget.
