Gazeta Wyborcza reports that MMA fighter and Legia Warsaw football club fan Maksimilians K. was arrested in Poland for the attack on Leonidas Volkov.
The publication clarifies that the suspect represents the Legia fight club. Gazeta Wyborcza’s sources also link him to the Teddy Boys, a hooligan group made up of fans of the Legia football club.
The attacker’s Instagram account, where he introduces himself under the pseudonym Kruszynka, says that he is the champion of the open novice MMA tournament. The Gazeta Wyborcza newspaper notes that Maksimilian starred in a music video for Polish rap singer Bonus RPK, previously convicted of drug trafficking.
The Russian opposition portal agents.media revealed the identity of the attacker – it is Maximilians Krol. in 2022 a man by that name actually took first place in the Polish MMA Open Cup for Beginners. In addition, on his Instagram network, Mr. Krolis published a photo from the march of fans of the football club “Legia”, which took place in 2023. in may
Agents.media journalists also noticed that in 2023 in May and October, Mr. Krolis was captured in two photos of the employees of the Polish funeral home “Moj Aniol”. In both cases, the photos served as illustrations for media material about the work of the funeral home. M. Krolis was not mentioned directly in the publications.
L. Volkov was attacked on March 12. in the evening at his home in Vilnius. The attacker broke the window of his car, sprayed tear gas and started beating L. Volkov with a meat mallet. The figure of the Russian opposition was injured in the face, leg, and broken arm.
