Visma Tech, the main division of Norway’s Visma Group and one of the largest IT companies in Lithuania, is moving to a new office in Vilnius and plans to expand its team.

Since 2011 The Norwegian IT company “Visma Tech” operating in Lithuania is currently located in Kaunas and Vilnius. Last week, the company moved to a new home in the capital – it opened an office in the “Artery” business center, in the main business district of Vilnius. At the same time, Visma Tech is looking to strengthen its team to attract top talent, especially in areas such as software development, DevOps and quality assurance.

According to the company’s general director Agniaus Paradniks, the decision to strengthen its position in Lithuania was made for several reasons.

“Our confidence in Lithuania as a strategic location is primarily determined by high-level talents, work culture and growth opportunities. We attract highly motivated and loyal employees to the company, which is why they work for more than 5 years on average. If we maintain this positive trend, I am confident that we will soon reach 300 employees and even exceed this number”, says the head of “Visma Tech” in Lithuania.

The Lithuanian company currently has 275 employees, most of whom are IT engineers working in international teams and developing advanced SaaS solutions for the Scandinavian market.

Deputy Minister of Economy and Innovation Karolis Žemaitis, who participated in the opening of the new office, notes that the contribution of such advanced IT companies as “Visma Tech” to our technology ecosystem is extremely important.

“It is nice to see that our efforts to make Lithuania attractive for foreign businesses creating high added value are yielding results. The fact that more than a decade ago, one of the continent’s largest groups of technology companies not only chose Lithuania for development, but continues to create new jobs for our talents, is sufficient proof that we are on the right path,” he said.

Elijus Čivilis, CEO of Invest in Lithuania, also emphasizes the importance of talent in creating Lithuania as a center of advanced technologies.

“As technology advances, including IT, accelerate, the key to success is highly skilled talent.” Although we are a relatively small country, we can be proud of our work ethic and the excellence of the talent that graduates from our educational institutions. We often hear this from our international partners. I am glad that Visma Tech chose Lithuania, and I have no doubt that they will grow here for many years to come,” says E. Čivilis.

In addition to its core activities, Visma Tech is actively involved in the development of the technology community. In addition to cooperation with higher education institutions, the company participates in initiatives such as Women Go Tech, where it continues to support and mentor the new generation of IT professionals. One example is the company’s initiative “Angis” – free in 2021. the development of a platform for teaching Python programming to Lithuanian children was started.
