Crocus City Hall entertainment center near Moscow is completely burnt.

The number of victims of the March 22 terrorist attack in the Moscow region is still not well known. This is because human bodies are still being pulled from the ruined Crocus City Hall building.

The terrorists poured a flammable liquid inside and started a massive fire that burned for well over an hour. Firefighters arrived at the scene relatively quickly, but had to wait for law enforcement to remove the terrorist threat. Locals say that it is only 8 minutes from Crocus City Hall to the OMON unit, but OMON is more often engaged in beating ordinary Russians, so special forces were expected, which appeared only an hour later. Thus, when the fire was extinguished, the ceiling of the building had already collapsed.

Another question is why Crocus City Hall burned down like that. The terrorists brought only a relatively small amount of flammable liquid with them. Such mass gathering places must have automatic fire extinguishing systems. After all, this was not some wooden village hut. Perhaps the terrorists started a fire in a very strategic, well thought out location and it spread. Or maybe Crocus City Hall didn’t have the proper fire protection systems. Or maybe they were turned off.

A large part of the dead, whose number has already reached 133, suffocated from combustion products. Russian law enforcement reports that the terrorists managed to set fire to the emergency exits. Because they had about an hour and were detained far from Crocus City Hall, right next to the Belarusian border.
