M. Verstappen would not like to join forces with C. Sainz?

“Sainz’s option is quite interesting. The situation should be looked at more broadly. One must remember the power struggle between Christian Horner and Helmut Mark, as well as Red Bull shareholders from Thailand and Austria.

If Horner feels that Max and Jos Verstappen and Marko are putting pressure on him, he can say, well, let’s get someone like Carlos Sainz. If I invite him, I’ll have someone I can potentially become a champion with. He might think so, and then the pressure on Max would increase.

I really don’t think Max would want to have Sainz as a teammate. I think we are talking here not only about a couple of drivers, but also about political things. And from a political point of view, Horner is undoubtedly very clever.

I don’t think Carlos is a very realistic option for Red Bull. Still, in case Max decided to leave, they would have a very good driver with Carlos. Such a decision could lead to further events for Max. So, it’s a really stressful season in every sense”, said E. Knoors.
