University of Arizona basketball players eliminated Long Beach University 85:65 (41:35, 44:30).

Both Lithuanians played episodic roles in the ranks of the winners. Motiejus Krivas in 8 minutes. only managed to recover 3 balls, Paulius Murauskas played just 2 minutes. and did not excel at anything.

In the next round, their team will face the University of Dayton, who snatched victory with the result 63:60 (25:34, 38:26) from the hands of the players of the University of Nevada.

At that time, Matas Buzelis, who took a different path towards the NBA, will not be the only one to say goodbye to the G League after the season – the entire “Ignite” team he represented will no longer be there.

The NBA announced that the team preparing the young talents will be disbanded.

Since the 2020s, Ignite has been a springboard for promising basketball players to the NBA draft. But when the NCAA also started paying attractive salaries to students playing, such a team no longer made sense.

This season, Ignite also stands out with particularly poor results – winning just two out of 30 games is the worst team in the entire NBA G League.

We remind you that M. Buzelis is predicted to be drafted in the top ten in this summer’s NBA draft.
