According to Russian media, the incident happened before the start of the concert of the group “Piknikas”. Witnesses said the man was shooting and also throwing firecrackers. At least 12 people were reported killed and 35 injured.

A video was released on social media showing people hiding from the shooter in a building. It later became known that there could have been two or three attackers.

One of the videos shows two masked men entering the building and filming.

Russian state media also reported on the attack. Many people have been killed and injured in a shooting incident at the Crocus City Hall concert hall near Moscow, Russian state news agency TASS reports.

Another Russian state news agency, RIA, reports that 50 ambulances have been sent to the scene.

Russian media reported that riot police units were sent to the area as people were evacuated.

RIA Novosti, quoting its correspondent who witnessed the attack, reports that “there are indeed wounded”.

The agency reports that three men dressed in camouflage uniforms opened fire with automatic weapons when they entered the concert hall’s sales area.

After that, according to the correspondent of the agency, the attackers threw a grenade or an incendiary bomb, which caused a fire, the videos of which are already being distributed on social networks.

“People who were in the hall laid down on the floor to escape the shooting, they lay there for 15-20 minutes, then they started crawling. Many managed to escape,” RIA Novosti quoted its correspondent as saying.

According to Baza, more than 100 people were trapped in the Crocus City Hall building due to the fire.
