On May 2, the experiential conference “Personality that inspires me” was held at the Raimundos Samulevičius pro-gymnasium. Students of Raimundos Samulevičius, Justinas Vareikis pro-gymnasiums, “Neries” primary school, and Jonavas Senamiestis high school participated in the conference. The conference is intended to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Lithuania’s accession to the EU. The success stories of every country consist of the stories of the people who live there.

All students presented personalities who inspire to achieve their goals and not to give up on difficulties. These are Zigmantas Sierakauskas, whose report was read by Augustas Skridliauskas, a student of the Jonavas Old Town High School, and Emilija Pliaterytė, who was told about by Gabrielė Stankūnavičiūtė and Ieva Makarevičiūtė, students of the Raimundos Samulevičius Pro-Gymnasium. Everyone was impressed by the story of the partisan Vladas Vingris, presented by Jonas Kontrim and Jakūbs Rapolas from Justin Vareikis pro-gymnasium. Urtė Umantaitė, a student of “Neries” primary school, told about the resident Pranas Dovalga and his work. Ugnė Baltkojytė and Mēta Rimeisyte from Raimundos Samulevičius Progymnasium are inspired by the story of Anne Frank, full of kindness and hope. Viltė Rachinbachė and Deimantė Jakaitytė from Raimundo Samulevičius pro-gymnasium admired the gymnastics coaches Dora Hegyi and Viktorija Ručinskaite. Ėuolė Banytė and Monika Šimkutė, high school students of Old Town High School, very sensitively presented the life and creative path of Grigorijaus Kanovičius and Marcelijaus Martinaitis.

Thanks to all the participants and the teachers who advised them.
