The criminal case in which the former driver of the Alytus hospital is accused of fraud has been transferred to the Alytus district court, the prosecutor’s office reported.

In this way, the driver allegedly increased the vehicle’s fuel consumption, submitted forged travel documents to the accounting employee, who, without suspecting anything, unjustifiably wrote off the fuel.

According to law enforcement, the former employee was charged with fraud and falsifying vehicle mileage for fraudulently obtaining for his own benefit a foreigner’s property belonging to a hospital with a high value of more than MGL 400 but not exceeding MGL 900 and falsifying vehicle mileage.

The previously unconvicted resident of the city of Alytus pleads not guilty to both crimes.

In this criminal case, the mentioned hospital has filed a civil lawsuit for more than 34 thousand. for the amount of euros.
