Drank beer – swam the world championship | Sports

The World Ice Hockey Championship begins on Friday in the Czech Republic.

The Norwegian national team will play there as well, having already announced the composition of its players.

It does not include Philip Granath, although the 21-year-old hockey player is one of the best in his country, having recently become the champion of the Finnish Hockey League with the Tappara team.

Coach Tobias Johansson decided not to take Ph. Granath and Ole Julian Bjorgvik-Holm to the team due to disciplinary violations.

“It’s because of the disciplinary incident in last year’s World Cup. Therefore, this season they remained on the sidelines,” said T. Johansson.

The coach of the Norwegian ice hockey team did not reveal more details. However, this was done by the player himself.

“At the last World Cup, I was in the stands and had a couple of beers with my friends. That’s it, Ph. Granath told Norwegian TV2. – It was during a match in which I did not compete. I played the first few games and then I was told I wasn’t going to play anymore. I took the beer.

Stupid situation, I end up regretting it. I take responsibility for what I did, but I won’t do it again.”

Ph. Granath was indignant that not everyone’s behavior is evaluated equally.

“There are more players who participated then with me, but they are in the current squad. It chokes me up, said the hockey player. “We are not valued equally.”
