“Kings” basketball players are cornered. They fell to the San Francisco Golden State Warriors 116-123 (36-33, 20-27, 34-39, 24-26) in Game 5 of the Western Conference quarterfinals on Wednesday night in Sacramento, losing control of their four-game winning streak. – 2-3.

D. Sabonis collected a double-double in 36 minutes – 21 points (9/14 two-pointers, 0/1 three-pointers, 3/4 penalties) and 10 rebounds. Domantas also made 4 assists, intercepted 3, lost 5 balls and blocked 1 opponent’s shot.

De’Aaron Fox, who played with a splint on a broken finger and lacked accuracy, had 24 points (6/15 2-pointers, 3/10 3-pointers, 3/3 free throws) and 9 assists.

Malik Monk added 21 points.

In the ranks of the winners, Stephen Curry scored 31 points (2/10 three-pointers, 8 rebounds), 25 – Klay Thompson (5/11 three-pointers), 21 – Draymond Green (7 rebounds), 20 – Andrew Wiggins.

The sixth matchup between the Kings and Warriors is scheduled for Friday night in San Francisco.

The winners of this pairing will face either the Memphis Grizzlies or the Los Angeles Lakers in the conference semifinals.
