Yesterday, the staff of the Tauragė district court said goodbye to judge Egidijus Mockaitis, who has completed his term of office. The judge held this honorable position for 15 years, the last five years of which he was the chairman of the Tauragė district court.
The send-off ceremony was opened by Judge Gražina Gudžiūnienė, the Acting President of the Tauragė District Court, reading the congratulatory words of the President of the Republic of Lithuania Gitanas Nausėda and the Chairperson of the Council of Judges Sigita Rudėnaitė to Judge Egidijas Mockaičius and conveying their thanks.
The visiting chairman of the Civil Cases Department of the Klaipėda District Court, Aurimas Brazdeikis, gave words of congratulation and farewell to Judge Egidijas Mockaitis and presented symbolic gifts from the management of the Klaipėda District Court. During the event, fellow judges reminded everyone that this is not only judge E. Mockaitis’ farewell party, but also his birthday and wished the judge the best possible development in the new stage of his life. On behalf of former fellow judges, judge Gražina Gudžiūnienė, who is acting as the chairman of the court, presented commemorative gifts – a judge’s distinguishing mark – regalia and other farewell gifts.
All those present unanimously asserted that they will remember the judge as a professional lawyer, a kind and bright personality, wished him good health, memorable trips and many more firsts.
At the end of the avalanche of congratulations, judge Egidijus Mockaitis thanked the members of the court team for their kind words and wishes, for the common path they have taken. The judge said a special “thank you” to the members of his team, assistant judge Laineda Jasaitiene and secretary Irena Žumajeviene, with whom he had to work in court from the first to the last day of work.
