Enefit presents a solution for electric car owners: rental of charging stations and discounts for the electricity plan and public charging network

In view of the growing market and emerging challenges, the green energy solutions company Enefit presented EV 360°, a package of charging station rental and additional benefits for electric car drivers.

Julius Areška, head of Enefit’s private customer segment, notes that the road to electrification is not an easy one.

“Although the fleet of electric cars in Lithuania is growing rapidly, there is still a great lack of public charging stations and other related services. With this in mind, we started looking for ways to contribute ourselves and meet the needs of electric car drivers. At the end of last year, we presented a solution for renting electric car charging stations for both private and business customers. We are also intensively expanding the public charging network – we plan to end the year with 350 and by 2026 a total of more than 1,000 charging stations across the country. Now we have gone even further – we have created a special service for electric car drivers “EV 360°”, which includes much more than renting chargers”, says the representative of Enefit.

According to J. Areška, until now, electric car owners have been missing smart charging solutions that are not limited to just installing chargers at home.

“Research shows that most EV owners charge their vehicles at home at night, two to four times a week, or even more if they need to drive longer distances.” It’s not always convenient. The service we offer, which includes not only charging at home, but also access to the public charging network Enefit Volt and significant discounts on it, eliminates many essential inconveniences and ensures comfort both when driving an electric car every day and when going on longer trips,” comments the interviewer.

The EV 360° plan offered by Enefit not only ensures convenient charging for electric car drivers, but also provides additional benefits – up to 50%. a discount on the electricity plan at home, the opportunity to use the Enefit Volt Home mobile app for free and permanent discounts for charging on the Enefit Volt public network.

J. Areška points out that “EV 360°” meets most of the needs of an electric car owner. For example, when charging an electric car at home, normal electricity needs increase, so Enefit offers up to 50%. discount on electricity plan. For the same fixed monthly amount, the lessee of the equipment also receives a charging station and the “Enefit Volt Home” app, which allows the electric car to be conveniently charged when the prices on the electricity exchange are the lowest.

The service also has other benefits – 4G Internet connection, RFID authorization, monthly reports, discounts for charging at public Enefit electric car charging points, as well as permanent warranty maintenance, which will allow updating or completely replacing charging stations.

“Both private and business customers have two options – first, they can pre-pay for installation work when ordering a rental service. Then all cables and materials used become their property. We also offer the option of not paying in advance for the installation of stations. In this case, the costs of the installation work are added to the rent paid once a month,” comments the Enefit representative.

The rental price of a standard Autel MaxiCharger 11 kW charger starts at 26.99 euros per month. Meanwhile, the rental prices of the “Elinta HomeBox Slim” charging station created by Lithuanian manufacturers start from 30.99 euros per month – depending on the capacity of the charging station and the ability to charge two electric cars at the same time, the prices may vary. This amount does not include the costs of installing the station, as well as the cost of the energy consumed for charging – this is paid for separately.

J. Areška notes that the scope of installation works depends on where the charger is planned to be installed. However, the interviewer points out that all the necessary work, including drilling, installation, excavation and environmental clean-up, is taken care of by Enefit. In addition, all works, deadlines and prices are coordinated with the client at every step. The price of installing a standard charger starts at 300 euros, but, as the specialist notes, depending on the location and additional work, it can vary.

The most popular are the 11 and 22 kW single-connector charging stations offered by Enefit. For companies or consumers with more than one electric vehicle, two 22 kW power connector chargers or 47 kW power charging equipment are also offered.

Mr. Areška also recommends that users choose flexible load management, which costs an additional 3 euros per month. A special module is connected to it, the task of which is to monitor the electricity consumption of the house in real time and direct all unused energy to the electric car charger.

“Flexible load management in many cases not only avoids increasing the input power of the building, but also ensures maximum safe and fast charging of the electric car. If there is doubt that the electricity consumption is close to the grid connection limit, we recommend choosing a flexible load limit. Then there will be no danger that when you start charging the electric car, the fuses will blow due to overloading and the electricity will go out in the whole house”, says the charging solutions expert.

According to J. Areška, the rental term is determined by the chosen service model. If no preparatory installation work is required or if the customer pays for it in advance, the contract is open-ended.

“We often receive questions about the possibility of purchasing a rental loader, but we never leave the rental equipment. We take the used charger and sell the customer a brand new device. It is important to note that in this case the installation does not cost anything – you only need to pay for the charger itself”, comments the specialist.
