Lithuania is sending ten swimmers and two divers to the European Championship

It will appear here in 2022. championship prize winner Andrius Šidlauskas, Dans Rapšys and Aleksas Savickas, who have already secured their Olympic tickets, as well as Tomas Navikonis, Tomas Lukminas, Rokas Jazdauskas, Jokūbas Keblys, Džiugas Miškinis, Kristupas Trepočka and Justine Murdock, who will represent the national team for the first time.

Rūta Meilutytė, Kotryna Teterevkova, Mantas Kaušpėdas and Sylvia Statkevičius also met the selection criteria set by LTU Aquatics, but these swimmers will not go to Belgrade because they are preparing for other important starts.

R. Meilutytė and K. Teterevkova continue to intensively prepare for the Summer Olympic Games according to an individual plan. The members of the youth national team – M. Kaušpėdas, S. Statkevičius and others – are still waiting for the European Youth Swimming Championship in Vilnius.

The two best Lithuanian divers will also go to the capital of Serbia: Sebastian Konecki and Martynas Lisauskas from Vilnius.

Both the swimming and diving competitions will begin on June 17 and continue until the 23rd.

It is June 23 that marks the end of Olympic swimming selection, so the championship in Belgrade is the last chance for athletes to meet the norms for the Paris Olympic Games.

We remind you that at the last European Championship in Rome, Italy (2022), Lithuania was represented by nine swimmers.

This time the medals for the country were won by R. Meilutytė (50 m breaststroke – gold, 100 m breaststroke – bronze), K. Teterevkova (200 m breaststroke – bronze) and A. Šidlauskas (100 m breaststroke – bronze).
