Learning to live with the disease

After a long time, Canadian singer Celine Dion (56) spoke about living with a rare neurological disease – frozen man syndrome. In a candid interview with Vogue France, the singer tried to stay positive, saying that nothing will stop her.

The star devotes five days a week to sports, physical and vocal therapy.

“I work on my toes, fingers, knees, calves, improve my singing, develop my voice. Now I have to learn to live with the disease and stop doubting myself.

At first I asked myself: why me? How did that happen? What did I do? Is it my fault?

But now the attitude has changed. Life does not give answers – you just have to live.

The cause of my illness has not been determined, so I guess I have two options. Either I train and work really hard or I give up and it’s all over, I’ll stay at home and listen to my songs and stand in front of the mirror and sing to myself.

I chose to work with my whole body and soul. I want to be the best I can be. My goal is to see the Eiffel Tower again,” C. Dion poured his heart out.

According to the performer, the love of the closest people and fans and the highest level of medical care have helped her the most so far.

“Not all people with this syndrome have access to good doctors and good treatment. I have those tools, and it’s a gift.

For this reason, I feel even stronger and I know that nothing will stop me,” the singer maintained her positivity.

Although C. Dion cannot promise that she will return to the stage yet, she did not rule out such a possibility.

“I can’t tell you that in four months I will be doing a concert tour. My body will dictate that.

On the other hand, I don’t want to just wait. It’s hard to just push through day after day. I work very hard every day and I know that the next day will be even harder.

But a few things will never end – they are will, passion, dream and determination,” said the world-famous star.
