The Turk’s Carpet marks the official opening ceremony of the Eurovision Song Contest. It was possible to see representatives of all countries except Israel, because their country commemorates Holocaust Remembrance Day.

The Turk’s Ascension ceremony began at 3:30 p.m. local time.

Lithuanian representative Silvester Belt and his team took the number 15. They arrived here together with the head of the country’s delegation Audris Giržads.

The performer stood out in a subtle, luxurious style and dressed in a white suit. The dancers wore black costumes and their faces were covered by masks.

Silvester Belt’s suit was designed by a designer from London. When asked if his team and dancers could see and breathe with masks, Silvestre said that anything can be done for the sake of image and beauty.

“I think it might be hot, but anything can be done for beauty,” Silvestras said.

When asked how it felt to be on the carpet, he did not hide his excitement.

“It’s very strange, everyone is dressed up, beautiful. It’s like I’m in a movie, it’s a very strange feeling,” he said.

We remind you that the first semi-final will take place on May 7, in which Silvester Belt will appear as the third number. The second semi-final is on May 9. The final is on May 11.
