Princess Beatrice’s ex-lover dead – body found in hotel: Possible cause announced | Names

The ex-boyfriend of the royal family, Princess Beatrice, Paolo Liuzzo, died last month, but this information has only now become public.

According to the British news portal “The Independent”, it is suspected that Mr. Liuzzo died of a drug overdose in a Miami hotel.

The police were called to the hotel room at the citizenM Miami Worldcenter on February 7 at 3:22 p.m. local time. This was confirmed to The Independent by the Miami Police Department. Liuzzo’s official time of death that day was reportedly 3:34 p.m.

Police are still investigating Liuzzo’s sudden death, but have revealed that the man was around 41 years old at the time of his death and died of a drug overdose.

The romantic relationship of P. Liuzzo, the son of an Italian plastic resin magnate, with Princess Beatrice came to light in 2005, when she was only 17 and he was 24. The princess’s father, Prince Andrew, and mother, Sarah Ferguson, welcomed the relationship, inviting him to join the outing and skiing together in the resort of Verbier.

But the couple reportedly split a year later after it emerged Mr Liuzzo had been forced to return to the US for violating the terms of his parole. He was convicted of an assault that took place back in 2002. in Massachusetts.

According to The Independent, Mr. Liuzzo’s death certificate states that he worked as a consultant to the art industry. British media also indicate that the deceased’s body was flown to his native Long Island on February 16.

Mr. Liuzzo has a long history of substance abuse and has been questioned by authorities several times for possession of cocaine. He was also in debt due to his penchant for gambling.

“Paolo’s personal life was complicated. He loved to party and gamble. Taking a lot of pharmaceutical drugs, which later led him to cocaine and harder drugs. It was a very fast paced lifestyle and we all feared that eventually it would catch up with him…. He was always borrowing money to pay off his debts. It became a vicious cycle,” a friend of the deceased told The Independent.

The news about the death of her former lover reached Princess Beatrice at the most inappropriate time, as she is also surviving her mother’s cancer diagnosis.

Princess Beatrice’s mother, Sarah Ferguson, announced her illness in January. She revealed that she was diagnosed with malignant melanoma just six months after breast cancer surgery.

Two other members of Princess Beatrice’s family are currently battling cancer – King Charles also revealed the diagnosis in January, and in March the world was shocked by the news of Kate Middleton’s illness.
