The tycoon’s goal is to build a second “Titanic”: future passengers would have a unique journey not only on the ship, but also in time

--

C. Palmer has been thinking about how to build a replica of the historical “Titanic” for more than ten years. In 2012, the businessman founded the company Blue Star Line. The name was not chosen by chance. For the more alert “Titanic” curious, the name of the company immediately hinted at the businessman’s immodest ambitions. After all, the Titanic was built by the famous British shipping company White Star Line.

C. Palmer shared his ambitious plans. Blue Star Line’s goal is to build a second Titanic. However, the project was abandoned. Later, it was promised to build a replica of the ship by 2018, but the pandemic prevented the plans. After the COVID-19 pandemic, the businessman returned full of new energy to realize the same ambitions. Now, the controversial Australian businessman promises to achieve his goal in the next three years – by 2027.

“Quarantine sent the cruise industry into a long period of stagnation, but the shipping industry is back in full force. Passenger numbers are now surpassing pre-war times. We are hiring the best shipbuilders, designers and engineers to build Titanic II,” the tycoon mused on his social media account.

The founding of the Blue Star Line coincided, perhaps coincidentally or not, with the centenary of the Titanic tragedy. in 1912 April 15 the famous ship sank. At that time, unfortunately, a little more than one and a half thousand people died.

The Titanic, called unsinkable, was the most impressive creation of shipping. The historic ship was supposed to be the best example of comfort and luxury in shipping at that time. After all, the very name of the ship was supposed to remind the world of the gods of Greek mythology, the Titans, who were distinguished by their special strength.

The Titanic burned about six hundred tons of coal per day. It took the world more than twenty years to build a larger cruise ship than the Queen Mary.

The eccentric tycoon makes sharp comments to media representatives from time to time. C. Palermo was pointedly reminded that this is not the first time he promises to restore the legendary ship. Why should you trust him this time? The Australian is not looking for a word in his pocket. C. Palmer snapped that he would succeed this time for one reason: now he has even more money…

It is predicted that Titanic II could cost neither much nor little – about 500 million dollars. “Why have a lot of money, if you can’t enjoy it?” – asked the adventurous businessman impudently.

For netizens, the ambitions of “Titanic” II are repeatedly reminded of the 2010 film of the same name (directed by James Cameron). The latter is inflected with the pronoun of tragedy. On the Internet, you can find many videos mocking C.Palmer’s ambitions. Some parody the love story of Jack and Rose, others enjoy the businessman’s eccentric jokes and comments. The latter repeatedly recalled the jokes of the former President of the United States of America, Donald Trump.

It’s not all about the money

Do you think that C. Palmer only seeks to spread his wealth in creative ways? You are wrong. He remembered not only the legendary ship, but also the already mentioned movie “Titanic”.

“Jack and Rose’s love story on Titanic touches everyone’s heart.” “Titanic” reminds us of the essential things we long for – love, friendship”, C.Palmer shared his thoughts and added that the ship of dreams has been arousing intrigue covered by a veil of mystery for more than a hundred years.

C. Palmer also seeks to show respect to the victims of the shipping tragedy. In addition, he poetically promises that the new building will become a symbol of a beautiful world. The finished project will symbolize the spirit of life and love.

Titanic II is what we need to build. We all know how to fight. We arm and support wars. People are well aware of this. Making peace is much more difficult. Peace must be worked for every day. We are making progress step by step. Titanic II can create peace. It can become a ship of peace for all countries of the world,” the businessman wrote on his social media account.

The tycoon ambitiously predicts that Titanic II will follow the same route as its historical predecessor. The ship will travel across the Atlantic Ocean from Southampton, England to New York.

Like the Titanic, the future ship should accommodate 2.4 thousand passengers and 900 crew members. “Titanic II will weigh approximately 56,000 tons and will consist of nine decks. The ship will reflect all the greatness of its namesake. Its length will be 269 years, and its width will be 32.2 meters. It will have 835 cabins. Of them, 383 are first class, 201 second class and 251 third class,” C. Palmeris discussed the parameters of the ship’s project.

The Australian claims that he will strive to create a unique journey for future passengers not only by ship, but also in time. Blue Star Line: will create an authentic Titanic experience. Passengers will be able to enjoy the same interior and cabin layout as the original ship. At the same time, modern safety systems, navigation methods and 21st century technology will be integrated. technologies, in order to achieve maximum luxury and comfort”, the entrepreneur explained the plans.

The eccentric visionary boasted that he had enlisted the help of the best designers. “We want not even the smallest detail to be overlooked.” Our expectations are far higher than even the creators of the original Titanic. It will be a stylish, luxurious love ship”, C. Palmeris was not shy when presenting his vision.
