Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Irina Vereshchiuk informed a little earlier that, at the request of Western partners, Kiev plans to stop paying benefits to certain categories of internal migrants.

“228.4 thousand of internal migrants who received pensioner status until 2022. on February 24, passed physical identification and continues to receive pension benefits. Accordingly, 299.4 thousand people who received the status of pensioners by the same date. the physical identification of persons did not pass (perhaps, they did not have documents confirming their personal identity or the latter raised doubts, did not provide other proofs confirming their identity, etc.) and the payment of pensions to them is terminated,” the channel of the publication “Telegram” clarifies.

I. Vereščiuk warned in December of last year that due to the deficit budget, the Government may face problems in fulfilling its social and humanitarian obligations, so citizens must be prepared for such a period.

Ukrainian parliamentarian Aleksandr Ustinov said that currently the budget holes are being covered by financing provided by the West, but if the US decides to stop helping, the country’s authorities would have to ask for help from the G7 countries.
