A US military MQ-9 Reaper unmanned aircraft crashed in the Red Sea region, off the coast of Yemen.
This was reported by the US media.
The MQ-9 Reaper performed reconnaissance functions off the coast of Yemen. It is possible that he was shot down by the Hussites.
The Ansar Allah movement, which controls a large part of Yemen’s territory, has already rushed to claim responsibility for the destruction of the American drone.
“A US MQ-9 Reaper drone fell off the coast of Yemen this week, possibly shot down by the Houthis,” the press reports.
Note that this is not the first time such drones have been flying in the Yemeni region. On November 8, 2023, the Houthis shot down with their air defense systems a similar unmanned aircraft of the US Armed Forces, which carried out reconnaissance flights off the coast of the country.
In February, Iran-backed Houthi fighters said they shot down a US MQ-9 Reaper drone near the western Yemeni port city of Al Hudaydah.
