After this match, the result of the series became equal (1/1). We remind you that in the first match of the playoff series, the Israeli club won 91:87 on Tuesday.

M. Grigonis was productive in this match, but did not shine. The Lithuanian scored 2 points, rebounded 2 balls and gave 1 assist.

Kostas Sloukas led the Greek club to victory, scoring 29 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists.

Meanwhile, Lorenzo Brown played the most productive match for the visitors, with 18 points, 2 rebounds and 6 assists.

“Maccabi” started the match a bit more solidly (8:4), but Kendrick Nunn reduced the difference to the minimum – 7:8 with a three-pointer. The latter, together with M. Grigonius, soon led “Panathinaikos” (14:12). Soon, the guests made a spurt and held the lead until the end of the quarter, 28:20.

Ergins Ataman’s students started the second half with a 5-0 run, and soon K. Sloukas equalized the result at 28-28. “Panathinaikos” took the initiative and the difference became double digits, and after the second quarter the home team led 51:39.

Panathinaikos took advantage of the fact that Maccabi’s attack was stuck – 56:39. Although L. Brown ended the hunger for points after three minutes, Maccabi had a hard time approaching and the home team continued to control the situation, and after three quarters, the home team had a confident lead – 71:60.

At the beginning of the fourth quarter, the Tel Aviv club still tried to hang on to the game, but the hosts played confidently and the second part of the half did not have much intrigue.

Panathinaikos: Kostas Sloukas 29 (8/9 doubles, 4/7 triples, 1/1 penalty), Ioannis Papapetrou 15 (4/7 triples), Kostas Mitoglou 14 (6 rebounds), Mathias Lessortas 11 (8 ref., 22 nb), Kendrick Nunn 10.

Maccabi: Lorenzo Brown 18 (6 rebounds), Antonius Cleveland and Jake Cohen each 12, Tamir Blatt 11 (6 rebounds), Jasiel Rivero 9.

The next match will be in Belgrade, because after winning the first match, the Tel Aviv basketball players also won the court advantage in the following two matches. We remind you that Maccabi plays its home matches in Belgrade, due to the ongoing unrest in Israel.
