What did the Dzuks vote for in the Presidential elections five years ago

In the Presidential elections held five years ago Alytus city district in the first round, Gitanas Nausėda won the elections with a small margin, receiving the support of 31.27 percent of the people of Alytus, 30.19% of the voters of Alytus voted for Ingrida Šimonytė. Saulius Skvernelis came third with 21.73% of votes.

Alytus district all three first candidates received very similar support in the first round – Gitanas Nausėda received 29.76%, Ingrida Šimonytė – 28.25%, Saulius Skvernelis – 27.74% of votes.

Druskininkai Gitanas Nausėda also won with 31.65% of votes, Ingrida Šimonytė was second with 29.90% and Saulius Skvernelis was third with 24.65% of votes.

Lazdijai district in the second round, it was good to see Saulius Skvernelis – he collected 27% of the votes here and was second after Gitanas Nausėda, who received 31.95% of the support of the people of Ladžija. Ingrida Šimonytė came third with 26.25% of votes.

Varena voted for G. Nausėdas and I. Šimonytė in the second round, they collected 33.66 and 29.49 percent of the votes, respectively. Saulius Skvernelis was the third, receiving 21.93% of the support of the people of Varėniški.

We remind you that in the first round of the Presidential elections held in 2019, Ingrida Šimonytė received the most support – 31.31% of the votes, while Gitanas Nausėda, who won in the second round, was not far behind, 30.94% of the voters voted for him in the first round.

• Arvydas JUOZAITIS – 4.96% of votes.

• Naglis PUTEIKIS – 0.65% of votes.
• Valentinas MAZURONIS – 0.72% of votes.

A referendum will also take place

A referendum will be held together with the presidential elections.

The election of the President of Lithuania will be held on May 12, early voting starts already tomorrow, May 7.

At the same time, a referendum on the preservation of citizenship will be held, in which it will be decided whether our citizens, who already acquired the citizenship of the Republic of Lithuania at birth, will be able to preserve it if they acquire the citizenship of another state friendly to Lithuania.

The referendum will be held for the preservation of the citizenship of the Republic of Lithuania, not for the legalization of “multiple” or “dual” citizenship.
