Liverpool club in a city derby in the English Premier League 0:2 landed everton football players and made their fight for the title even more complicated.
Everton started the game aggressively and it soon paid off. Jarrad Branthwaite’s superb strike disarmed the keeper to give the home side a 1-0 lead. At the end of the first half, Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz did not take advantage of great opportunities to score.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin doubled Everton’s lead to 2-0 early in the second half from a set piece. L. Diaz did not take advantage of a great opportunity to reduce the score, as his hit ball shook the structure of the goal. In the remaining time, the situation did not reach and the result remained 2:0.
Everton defeated Liverpool in the derby for the first time in 13 years.
Meanwhile in the next meeting Manchester United club at home 4:2 overcame Sheffield United football players.
The first goal came after a blunder by Andre Onana, and Jayden Bogle capitalized on it to put Sheffield Utd 1-0 up. Harry Maguire made it 1-1 with a great header at the end of the first half.
Ben Brereton Diaz punished the opposition defense again early in the second half to make it 2-1 to Sheffield Utd again. Just ten minutes later, Bruno Fernandes confidently converted the penalty from the penalty spot and tied the score at 2:2. At the end of the match, B. Fernandes put Man Utd ahead 3-2 with a great long-range shot, and Rasmus Hojlund’s accurate shot made it 4-2.
Sheffield Utd have conceded 90 goals this Premier League season. This is the highest number in the history of the championship since 38 games have been played.
