Another shame of Vilnius has come to an end: the infamous street will be cleaned in the summer – MadeinVilnius.lt

“Is this what the street near the presidency should look like?” – the residents ask, pointing to the crumbled pavement tiles near the presidency.

We are talking about the narrowest S. Skapo street in Vilnius. This time the municipality comes with good news – the street will finally be cleaned.

“S. The repair of Skapo Street is planned for this summer. Problem areas on the roadway will be repaired, sidewalks and roadsides will be replaced,” says Gabrielius Grubinskas, media relations specialist of the Vilnius City Municipality.

Although the answer is short, everything is clear – the street, which has been neglected for years, will finally acquire a new beauty.

Previously, the municipality mentioned that it does not plan to asphalt S. Skapo Street. During the reconstruction, the clinker coating will be left, and the sides will be granite.

S. Skapo Street is officially considered the narrowest street in Vilnius. Its narrowest part reaches only 1.98 m.
