In mid-March, the Probation Service appealed to the Klaipėda District Court. Having assessed that 33-year-old I. Jomantas does not comply with the rules of parole, the service asked the man to be imprisoned.
Back in 2022, the famous “millionaire”, together with a friend, was sentenced to prison for fraudulent accounting and illegal possession of a weapon.
The court sentenced him to 1 year and 3 months in prison, suspended for a couple of years.

In January 2023, I. Jomantas was registered with the Probation Service. Within two years, he had to behave impeccably, participate in a behavioral correction program, and not leave the municipality of residence without permission.
Employees of the probation service collected a lot of data on how the businessman violated the rules and applied to the court with a request to imprison the man. On March 22, the Klaipėda district court granted such a request.
Aleksandras Vishnevskis, the lawyer of the man who presents himself as a millionaire, and 15 minutes stated that the sentence was passed “without assessing all the objective circumstances”.
The complaint indicates that I. Jomantas indeed committed several administrative offenses, but “because of a mistake”. It is also explained that “there was a misunderstanding” why he did not cooperate with the Probation Service.
