More information is being revealed about the drunk driver who caused the accident: it is assumed that he returned from England for the holidays

Around 7:30 p.m., an Audi driver caused a minor accident on Kareivius street. After obstructing the Škoda car parked at the intersection, the culprit from the Audi started a fight – he attacked the Škoda driver and began to blame him for causing the accident. No one was hurt in the accident, but the Audi driver was obviously drunk, so the aggressive culprit was immediately reported to the police.

When the police officers arrived, they detained the Audi driver – he was found to have a heavy level of drunkenness, almost three per milliliter. Drunkenness alone is punishable by criminal charges.

Witnesses saw the Audi flying dangerously from the direction of Antakalnis even before the accident: the drunk driver with the Audi was diving between other cars, causing emergency situations.

At the intersection in Žirmūnai, the Audi braked at high speed and tried to maneuver between parked cars, but the Škoda was still in the way. It was only lucky that no one was injured, that the car of an innocent person was slightly damaged.

The conflict caused by a drunk person did not have time to turn into a fight, other drivers intervened and took away the keys of the drunk culprit’s car so that he could not drive away.

It is possible that the 44-year-old man returned to Lithuania for the holidays from abroad: according to witnesses, he presented the police with a driver’s license issued in the United Kingdom. After news of the incident spread on social networks, people joked that the driver went berserk after drinking too much white mix.

The court will decide what punishment to impose on the culprit. A drunk driver’s car is likely to be impounded anyway, so it’s decided to take the Audi to the police car park.
