According to public sources, the aggressor is building a new airstrip/airport in the Belgorod region about 80 km from the border. The currently operating airport in Belgorod is about 45 km from the border, the Ukrainians constantly try to attack it with drones and missiles, and after January 24 of this year. after the Russian Il76 shot down over Belgorod, this airport was used by the aggressor to a very limited extent.

The new airport/airstrip will not only be significantly further from the contact line, but also further due to the occupied Ukrainian territory in the Kupyansk sector, which will further limit the Ukrainians’ ability to attack it.

The safer operation of combat and transport aviation (including attack helicopters) relatively close to the contact line may affect the occupiers’ efforts to reach the Oskil River in the Kupjansk-Kremina sectors.

Luhansk direction

Kupjansk. The Russians continue their attacks in the Kyslivka – Tabaivka – Berestov section.

They are unable to advance further, but the situation remains difficult. So far, the northern flank (Lyman Peršijus – Peršotravnevė) is relatively calm, but it is likely that the aggressor’s operations may intensify here as well.

Lyman. The occupiers are attacking along the entire line of contact, Ukrainian forces have maintained their positions.

Syverska. Heavy battles continue. The Russians are trying to advance in the sections of Bilohorivka and Vesele, but without success. Units of the occupying 106th Airborne Division are not visible in the contact line, so it cannot be ruled out that the aggressor has not yet introduced his reserve units.

Donetsk direction

Chasiv Yar. The most intense battles take place on the southern flank. The Russians are trying to push back the Ukrainian defenders near Ivanivsk and break through their defenses in the Klishijivka – Andrijivka section. Ukrainian forces prevent the Russians from advancing and counterattack.

Pokrovsk – Vuhledar. Northern flank. The aggressor advanced along the railway towards Novoaleksandrivka and thus divided the northern flank of the sector into the western (Sokilas – Novopakrovsk – Umansk) and northeastern (Arkhangelsk – Keramikas) sections. It cannot be said that the interaction between them has ceased, but it has certainly become limited.

Center. It cannot be ruled out that this is not the last bad news in this sector this week, as the Russians managed to make a move in the approaches to Netailove. Thus, the northern flank is surrounded from the north and south.

Southern flank. The aggressor also managed to advance in the eastern approaches of Paraskovijivka. 4 km away, in the lowlands, an important Ukrainian communication hub in Konstyantinivka is under a very serious threat.

It cannot be ruled out that we will soon see attacks on Vuhledar at the other end of the road. According to unconfirmed data from public sources, the southern approaches of Vuhledar were transferred here in 2023. in the winter, the Russian 155th Marine Brigade was destroyed and later revived.

Zaporizhia direction

Without changes. It is interesting that the Ukrainians are intensifying the use of Baba Yaga drones. Swarms of 20 or even 40 of these drones mine roads, Russian concentration areas, and forward Ukrainian positions. Also, these drones throw mortar mines on the heads of the occupiers.

South direction

Ukrainian forces have announced that they have taken control of Nestrykha Island in the Dnieper Delta. It is not the only Dnipro island controlled by forces and/or fire by the Ukrainian defenders, but Nestryha is important because it closes the exit to the Black Sea and facilitates the observation and fire coverage of the Shkadovsk-Hola Prystane supply route for the aggressor forces.
