The end of the match was dramatic. Three minutes before the end of the game, the guests from Tel Aviv changed the result in their favor (83:81), and after Bonzie Colson’s free throws, the advantage increased to 4 points (85:81).

“Panathinaikos” defenders Kendrick Nunn and Jerian Grant had their say, scoring 5 points without reply and leveling the score (87:87) at the start of the last minute of the game.

However, the Greeks could not break the match in their favor. Lorenzo Brown nailed a two-pointer, Kostas Slouk fouled out and Josh Nebo made free throws to seal Maccabi’s triumph.

Marius Grigonis scored 11 points (3/8 threes), rebounded 4 balls, made 2 assists and collected 10 utility points in 24.5 minutes.

The Greeks were not saved by Mathias Lessort’s 22 points, Kostas Slouks scored 12, Jerian Grant added 11 points.

Bonzie Colson scored 18 points, Lorenzo Brown scored 16, Wade Baldwin added 15 points and led Maccabi to victory.
