The Milwaukee Bucks, who have high goals in the National Basketball Association (NBA), have received a decision from a self-sacrificing defender.
Patrick Beverley announced on his podcast that he will continue to compete despite suffering a severe injury – he lost ligaments in his right wrist.
Normally, such an injury would require surgery followed by 3-4 months of rehabilitation, but Beverley decided to postpone it until after the season.
The 35-year-old 188-cm defender started the season in Philadelphia, and after being traded to Milwaukee, he managed to play 19 games and collect 5.1 points (34 percent from three-pointers), 2.9 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 20 minutes. His salary this season is 2 million United States (US) dollars.
Mr. Beverley rarely misses the most important battles of the season. He has been playing in the NBA since 2012, and last season, representing the Chicago Bulls, missed the playoffs for only the second time in his career.
The Bucks (46/27) are in second place in the Eastern Conference and aim to regain the title they won in 2021.
