German publication F1-insider claims that Red Bull boss Christian Horner is keen to see Fernando Alonso alongside Max Verstappen in 2025.
The “civil” war in the energy drink team has subsided a bit, so C. Horner’s word continues to hold weight. He, we will remind, has great support from the main shareholder of the Red Bull company, Chalerm Yoodvidhiya.
The Brit tried to sign a contract with Fernando Alonso already in 2013. However, not everyone agreed with this idea – Helmut Marko and Dietrich Mateschitz had their say.
Mark Webber, who ended his career in 2014, was replaced by another Australian, Daniel Ricciardo, in the Bulls team. H. Marko commented on this situation at the time as follows: “Alonso does not fit our philosophy. We want to have young drivers in the Red Bull Racing team.”
