Max, who became the champion for the third time in a row last season, won a total of 19 out of 22 stages and collected 575 points.

That’s twice as many as his Red Bull team-mate Sergio Perez in second place (285 points) and far more than the two drivers from any other team combined: 409 for Mercedes and 406 for Ferrari.

Verstappen has started the new season at a similar pace, having confidently won four of the first five races of the 2024 championship and already has 110 points.

It is hard to imagine what would have to happen to prevent Max from winning the fourth consecutive title.

It is true that Michael Schumacher, the all-time king of Formula 1, who became the champion seven times (1994, 1995, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004), would still be missing. And no one can guarantee that Red Bull’s current hegemony will last much longer.

Verstappen, on the other hand, is currently only 26 and likely has the majority of his career ahead of him. For example, the Spanish Fernando Alonso, who has been pressing the speed pedal on the F-1 tracks so far, has 42.
