Crocus Group is one of the largest construction companies in Russia. Authorities have repeatedly entrusted A. Agalarov with the most complex construction projects, including stadiums for the World Football Championship in 2012. Far East Federal University for the APEC Summit and one of the sections of the Central Ring Road. He was also offered to participate in the rescue of the “Vostochny” cosmodrome, but A. Agalarov agreed to build only a few objects there, including an airport and a complex for the assembly and testing of the Angara rocket carrier.

“I don’t have any connections in the government, – in 2019 Agalarov told The Bell. – I am considered very naughty, scandalous. When I come to the meeting, they say: “He argues with everyone, but he can do something.” There are people who hide their relationships. They somehow secretly negotiate, get contracts. I have a completely official relationship. I get invited everywhere, it’s true. But I don’t negotiate with anyone, I don’t ask for big and fat contracts to make money. It’s just obvious to everyone that we build fast and well.”

Crocus City is the largest asset of A. Agalarov and the largest shopping and exhibition complex in Russia. It includes the Crocus Expo exhibition grounds, the Crocus City Hall concert hall and the Crocus City Mall.
