Lithuanian vice-champions 99:83 (27:19, 23:25, 19:25, 30:14) beat Vilnius “Wolves” for the second time this season and in the future, if the teams have the same ratio of wins and losses, “Rytas” will have a mutual advantage over ” Wolf”.
Wolves won the first team derby 84:74, Rytas won the second 89:72.
Marcus Foster put on an impressive performance for Ryto. The defenseman scored 31 points (5/9 doubles, 6/9 triples, 3/3 penalty), 7 assists, 4 rebounds and a 34-point performance in 29 minutes.
Martynas Echodas provided great support for the American. In 29 minutes on the floor, the center scored 20 points (8/11 doubles, 4/8 penalties), grabbed 10 rebounds and accumulated 29 utility points.
Jeffery Taylor stood out for Wolves. The seasoned veteran scored 22 points (4/5 doubles, 3/5 triples, 5/6 penalties), 3 assists and 21 RRP in 27 minutes.
In the first part of the match, Rytas controlled the course of the match. The Lithuanian vice-champions built up a double-digit lead (27:16) already in the first half. It is true that in the second quarter, Wolves had tied the result of the duel (38:38), but Rytas led by Marcus Foster went into the long break leading by six points (50:44).
In the third quarter, the Wolves basketball players looked a little better, and with 3 minutes before the end of the quarter, they changed the result of the game in their favor (59:60). For the rest of the half, both teams fought point to point, and the scoreboard remained even after the third quarter. After a long two-pointer by Lukas Uleckos, “Rytas” evened the score of the match (69:69).
