Aneta, the founder of FishWish, will tell you that, as everywhere, certain fashions prevail when choosing fish or seafood. And you can learn about even more of them at special exhibitions – Aneta’s husband, who recently visited one of them, brought back even more interesting news!

It turns out that the most important topic here lately is sustainability. You can even see sneakers made of salmon skin at the exhibition!

“I like it because it’s important to us too. When we created the business, it was important for us not only to sell fish, but also to contribute to nature. The story of our business began with our family and our daughter.

She is now 15 years old, but in the past she had a lot of problems with nutrition, both due to atopic dermatitis and other problems. We communicated with many nutrition experts and allergists until we finally realized that as a family we will have to be more interested in what we eat”, Aneta will say about the idea of creating a business.

Then the family became interested in fish. And especially where to get it from, since we live near the most polluted sea. That’s how it all started…

It is true that Aneta and her husband came from a completely different area, so they faced many challenges on their way. However, now everything is redeemed by the positive feedback from people.

“What makes me happy the most are the videos or photos sent by families, in which they are thankful for the delicious fish that their children also ate. Also, young people who are interested in healthy nutrition come to us – they ask us how much protein is in our products, how that fish comes to us, and so on,” Aneta will say.

And what kind of fish do Lithuanians choose to eat the most? “When we started, we joked that zeppelins had been replaced by octopuses. In the past, Lithuanians ate a lot of octopus, but now there is complete silence. The second year was the year of caviar – we said that Lithuanians probably eat caviar with spoons.

And what will always remain the most popular is salmon. This is the number one that no one can beat. The second number is herring. Lithuanians choose seafood – both shrimps and scallops – only for snacking”, Aneta will say.

Finally, Gian Luca will also decide to taste Aneta’s products, who will also show the audience two delicious recipes. The famous man will reveal how to make perfect sandwiches with tuna and smoked herring.

It looks like a mackerel and tastes like an eel: that’s how Aneta will present the smoked herring, with which Gian Luca will prepare a dish perfect for picnics.
