According to Ruslan Davydov, the countries are “actually sabotaging cargo transportation and creating artificial queues”.

Accusing of sabotage, the official confused the states

The official quoted in the Russian propaganda information medium “RIA Novosti” confused Lithuania with Latvia when talking about the Terechovo-Burački border crossing.

“Giving an example of such sabotage, he told about the situation at the Burački-Terekhovo checkpoint, on the Russian-Lithuanian border, where about 2,000 machines are waiting their turn to enter Russia,” the text of the Russian news agency reads. The Burački-Terechovo border crossing is between Latvia and Russia, not between Lithuania and Russia.

“And they pass … a little more than 100 (cars) in the last 24 hours. Imagine that means 20 days in a row. And there are also perishable products, there may be medicines, basic necessities,” complained the head of the Russian customs.

According to Lithuanian customs reports, there were no queues at the border points with Russia in the last day. About 1 thousand queues of trucks formed at the border of Belarus with Lithuania – at the Medininkai and Šalčininkai checkpoints.

R. Davydov also promised to complain to international authorities: he has already threatened to write a letter to the president of the World Customs Organization regarding the actions of the Baltic countries and Finland on the Russian border.

March 21 of this year. The representative of the Lithuanian customs reported that the electronic document system was stuck, which is why some cars were not allowed to enter Lithuania from the Kaliningrad region.
