The artistic word sounded at the Alytus Music School

On April 22, the artistic word rang out at the Alytus Music School, where for the first time the XIV republican art (music) schools’ Theater department students’ Artistic Reading Competition was held. Gabrielė Dambauskaitė, director of the Alytus Music School, welcomed the young singers from the Alytus Music School, Birštonas Art School, Mažeikiai Vytautas Klovas Music School, Gargždai Music School, Jonava Janina Miščiukaitė Art School, Neringa Art School, Rietava Mykolas Kleop Oginskis Art School and Raseiniai Art School. Those who came to South Aukštaitia heard the folk song of the Dzūkai region “Ankci ryteli” performed by Akvilė Andrulytė, 2nd class. and Barbora Žilevičiūtė, 2nd class. (teacher Daiva Grabauskienė). Ugnė Gailiūnaitė agreed with traditional kankles. Theater teacher, Alytus City Theater actor Tomas Pukys cheerfully led the event. The competition was organized by theater teacher Asta Daironienė.

A large group of participants read various texts in the competition. Their clear, articulate, effective speaking, purposeful choice of emotion, voice range, clearly and comprehensibly conveyed thought of the chosen work, quality of speech culture, stage posture were evaluated by the evaluation committee: chairperson of the committee – theater teacher Alma Purvinytė, assistant director of the Alytus City Theater; Methodist theater teacher Žiedūnė Maldonienė; Actor and director of the Alytus City Theater, head of the “Drevinukas” theater studio of the Alytus “Drevinukas” school-kindergarten theater studio, chairman of the Alytus City School Theaters Coordination Center Jonas Gaižauskas. The members of the evaluation commission evaluated the readers in three age groups: Group I – 7-11 years old, Group II – 12-14 years old. and group III – 15-17 years.

We congratulate the winners of various nominations and competition laureates, and the teachers who prepared them. Group I: 1st place – Greta Sladkevičiūtė, Vytautas Klova Music School (Mažeikiai).

2nd place – Oskaras Cerimi, Jonava Janina Misčiukaitė art school; Emilija Miliauskaitė, Neringa Art School. 3rd place – Justas Vilkas, Vytautas Klova Music School (Mažeikiai); Luka Laurynė, Raseiniai Art School; Kerija Pilipavičiūtė, Vytautas Klova Music School (Mažeikiai). Group II: 1st place – Grėtė Gaulytė, Alytus School of Music. 2nd place – Rokas Miltenis, Vytautas Klova Music School (Mažeikiai); Austėja Vainiūtė, Jonava Janina Misčiukaitė art school. 3rd place – Salomeja Pocevičiūtė, Vytautas Klova Music School (Mažeikiai); Elvija Balkutė, Jonava Janina Misčiukaitė art school; Mikas Sladkevičius, Vytautas Klova Music School (Mažeikiai). Group III: 1st place – Aistė Cvilikaitė, Jonava Janina Misčiukaitė art school. 2nd place – Gabija Šidlauskaitė, Vytautas Klova Music School (Mažeikiai); Neila Saračinskaitė, Vytautas Klova Music School (Mažeikiai). 3rd place – Aistė Jasiukaitytė, Neringa Art School; Šarūnas Belskas, Jonava Janina Miščiukaitė Art School; Dominyka Grigaitė, Vytautas Klova Music School (Mažeikiai).

We are happy for the 1st grade student of the Alytus Music School, Grėte Gaulyte, who became the 1st place winner. 2nd grader Raigardas Zautra received the nomination “For sensitive disclosure of the text”, 2nd grader Neida Grinkevičiūtė – “For the most sincere reading of the work”, 4th grader Kotryna Lastauskaitė – “For sensitive disclosure of the text”. The students were prepared by theater teacher Asta Daironienė. We thank the organizers, participants, teachers, evaluation committee.
