The alarm of the special services against the background of extraordinary exercises: an old woman who was possibly frightened by the war managed to be saved

Today, in the very center of Kaunas, not only possible disasters are simulated, but they also happen in reality. However, most importantly, there may be a causal relationship between them.

Along with firefighters, ambulances and police were sent to the scene.

Firefighters quickly dealt with this fire, which was noticed by the neighbors in time, and therefore did not have time to rage. This was indicated by a burnt mattress thrown out of the window from the fire in the courtyard of the apartment building.

It was more difficult for the paramedics to perform their functions. Although they already found the said 95-year-old woman outside, the problems with her kicking continued. Suspecting that she might have inhaled smoke, they wanted to take her to a medical facility. However, the old woman refused to go there, which is why, while waiting for her relatives to arrive, she was given an oxygen bag on the spot.

The old woman told the gathered neighbors and representatives of the special services that the fire started when she lit a candle. And the bed soon caught fire from this. Fortunately, the old woman’s neighbors were alert.
