“The revised project financing conditions now more clearly regulate the provision of this investment support. It has been established that renewable energy communities and citizen energy communities can operate on the same principle as remote power park developers.
It is important that the revised financing conditions will also apply to the applications submitted by the associations until today. The financing conditions for other companies and farmers do not change,” LEA lep director Agnė Bagočiutė is quoted as saying in the report.
According to the LEA, the deadline for accepting applications will be extended for as many days as the calls had to be suspended. All applicants will again be able to apply to the agency for funding for these projects from 2024. May 2nd.
So far, the Lithuanian Energy Agency has already received 224 applications requesting almost 9.5 million EUR investment support for setting up solar power plants on land. It is planned to install them with a total capacity of about 18.2 MW.
Also received 58 applications requesting more than 2.7 million. EUR investment support for the installation of electricity storage facilities with a total capacity of about 9.2 MWh.
