From summer to winter: after extremely warm weather, snowflakes fell in Vilnius

The weather on Wednesday morning is not encouraging – extremely gusty wind and intermittent drizzle.

As Orai.lt reported, on Wednesday the weather in our country will be determined by the cold part of the cyclone, so the weather will be completely different from the previous days. The sky will be covered by a solid layer of gray clouds, precipitation will fall intermittently in many areas.

In the southern regions, light rain and fog will prevail, in the northern part of the country, rain will mix with drizzle. A strong west, north-west wind will blow at a speed of 9-14 m/s, gusts will reach 15-20 m/s in many places, up to 23 m/s on the coast. Due to the cold air mass that has flooded the country, the temperature will not rise above 2-6 degrees Celsius, and strong winds will make it chilly.

Meteo.lt reports that Tuesday was very contrasting in Lithuania. Eastern Lithuania managed to warm up to 19-24 degrees, in the western part of the country – between 13-18 degrees. The coldest was on the seashore and in the sea, only 8-10 degrees. It rained in places during the day.
