More inspectors will work at technical inspection stations

Analyzing the collected information and reacting to the annually growing number of vehicles delivered to “Tuvlita” technical inspection centers in Vilnius county, the company’s managers made a decision to extend the working hours at Avižieniei, Viršuliškii and Naujas Vilnias stations. From the beginning of April, they will work much longer.

Oats TAS Monday – Friday from 6:30 a.m. until 9:30 p.m., the Viršuliškii technical inspection station will wait for motorists from 06:45 a.m. on weekdays. to 9:30 p.m., and on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. From now on, it will be possible to check approximately 35-40 percent of vehicles daily at the New Vilnius TA station. more vehicles, because not only are working hours extended by 4 hours (from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.), but several new colleagues are joining the controller team.

“TA controllers have exceptionally high qualification requirements, so every time we need to find a replacement for retiring or sick colleagues, we face a number of challenges. This year, 11 candidates with a higher engineering education who completed special training in February-March at the expertise company “Transporto studios” and the Vilnius School of Auto Mechanics responded to the invitation to become members of the “Tuvlita” team.

We hope that almost 10 percent our increased team and adjusted working hours of the stations will definitely contribute to controlling the traffic, which increases by more than a third in the months of April-July”, notes Tomas Bagdanavičius, head of the Vilnius technical inspection center of the company “Tuvlita”.

A breakthrough in overcoming the queues at technical inspection stations in Vilnius is expected after the brand new Tuvlita center will open its doors in the southern part of the capital’s station (in the area of Liepkalnis Street). According to preliminary calculations, it will be possible to perform 30-35 thousand at the new station. initial technical inspections every year. Good news for motorcyclists as a separate motorcycle inspection line is planned for the new station.

The head of the Vilnius technical inspection center also draws attention to the possibility of checking cars and motorcycles much faster at the modern Elektrėnai TAS, which was opened just a couple of years ago.

“In most cases, we can accept trucks in Elektrėnai on the same day. We have offered it in a “live” queue at “Tuvlita” TAS Lentvarios st. to the parked truck drivers, but strangely enough, only one of them reacts. We really want to urge the managers of transport companies to pay attention to this information, to encourage their employees to take advantage of this opportunity and at the same time manage their cargo fleet more efficiently”, says T. Bagdanavičius.
